Concert Event Volunteer - Northern Ireland

We are delighted to be the beneficiary charity for Custom House Square, Belsonic and Belfast Vital for the 3rd year running with 23 concerts in total.

      Apply now

We will once again be running our #DontLoseTheMusic marketing campaign to raise awareness of the importance of protecting your hearing to concert goers and raise vital income to sustain and grow our charity.

      Goal:

To activate the charity’s #DontLoseTheMusic marketing campaign by attending the summer concerts; handing out earplugs and handling donations from ponchos, wristbands, mobile phone pop sockets and body make up.

      Tasks:

      • Handle donations from merchandise
      • Ensure cash is handled securely
      • Be an ambassador for the charity
      • Provide information about our services

      Skills needed:

      • Good communication and interpersonal skills
      • Energetic and passionate
      • The ability to work as part of a team
      • Be reliable and attend events which you have agreed to support

      Please note

This role requires manual handling. Volunteers will be required to circulate through the crowds and this will require a good level of physical fitness. We also recommend our volunteers wear earplugs which we will provide.

We would like to invite all volunteers to watch the show upon completion of their shift.

      Important:

Volunteer roles are limited and restricted to 3 concerts per person. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to place you. We will hold a reserve list per concert if needs be.

      Training/learning needed:

Each volunteer must attend one of the briefing meetings on the dates below before their allocated concert. The briefing will cover about Action on Hearing Loss, health and safety and event logistics. Briefings will take place at: Harvester House, 4-8 Adelaide Street, Belfast, BT2 8GA.

      • Thursday 16th May 2019 at 6pm.
      • Friday 7th June 2019 at 6pm.
      • Thursday 25th July at 6pm.

If you do not attend a briefing you will not be permitted to volunteer at the concerts.
