Your support can help us find life-changing treatments for people like Zuleika, who lost her hearing when she was just three years old, after contracting Meningitis C. Like many of the approximately 50,000 children living with hearing loss in the UK, Zuleika found school life especially hard. She had extra English and lipreading lessons, which was exhausting for her, and she rebelled against reading, finding it all too hard.

But with your help, we can bring treatments closer, so young people won’t have to face these difficulties.

Progress into research gives Zuleika so much hope for the future. After organising a fantastic concert to raise funds for Action on Hearing Loss, she told us: "I am forever amazed by all the discoveries in the world of hearing loss. Like the size of my first hearing aids compared to today’s, and the fact that hearing aids have gone digital. This is why I support Action on Hearing Loss. Please donate today, to see even more incredible progress."
