      About our tinnitus advert

Tinnitus affects one in 10 people, but still doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

People with tinnitus have told us that they really want us to tackle this issue head-on. And our advert tells the stories that people with tinnitus have shared with us. These stories have been reflected as accurately as possible to highlight the issues that affect the lives of so many.

The advert was developed with the help of a number of people with tinnitus. They helped us in all aspects of its creation, from auditioning to feeding into the script and taking part in testing creative propositions. We also showed the final cut to hearing specialists and people who have tinnitus to make sure it's an accurate portrayal of the work Action on Hearing Loss does, and the people we help.

We hope the advert will raise awareness of the reality the millions of people in the UK who are affected by tinnitus - and, importantly, the work that Action on Hearing Loss is doing to find a cure to make the noises stop, as well as supporting people to manage their symptoms and reduce the negative impact it can have on their lives.
