Our range of cleaning and drying products will keep your hearing aids in tip-top condition. As a result, they’ll last longer, saving you money and reducing the number of trips to the audiologist. Plus, with fewer blockages, your hearing aids will work better and the sound will stay loud and clear.
Ear wax regularly builds up on the earmould, especially the part that fits into your ear. It can also build up in the hearing aid tubing. Don’t worry – it’s perfectly normal. But ear wax can make the mould and tubing hard and brittle, causing them to split or even break, resulting in a whistling sound. If you clean them regularly, this is much less likely to happen.
Experts recommend cleaning hearing aids at least once a week (ideally every day). We are often asked how to clean hearing aids . Our products make it a quick and easy task. We have a hearing aid cleaning kit with five handy tools for keeping your hearings aids clean. You can also purchase hearing aid cleaning wipes and hearing aid cleaning tablets to remove bacteria and help prevent infection.
As well as cleaning hearing aids on a regular basis, it’s important to keep them dry. Warm weather and outdoor activities can increase condensation and moisture in your earmould tubing and battery compartments, which can stop your hearing aids working properly.
Use one of our drying products to keep them moisture free. A hearing aid drying box provides a combination of gentle heat to dry excess moisture from hearing aids and UV light to help reduce bacteria growth. Our hearing aid dehumidifier is another useful gadget. Simply place your hearing aids in the container and after eight hours the dehumidifier will have removed any moisture from them.
