Product Description

The Echo SL Loop System For TV enables you to hear the TV clearly through your hearing aids while the volume remains at a normal level for everyone else. This is the only domestic Hearing Loop for TV that has a remote control.

Does your family get annoyed when you turn up the volume on the television?  Or do you find yourself having to read the subtitles on a favourite family film?  This Hearing Aid Loop System For TV is just the product that will allow you to enjoy family nights in, watching the television together.

The benefits of a TV Loop System for the Hard of Hearing include hearing the TV at a volume that suits you, while everyone else can listen at a level that suits them. It allows you to hear the TV clearly wherever you are in the room and let’s you move freely without any effect to the clarity of the sound. You don’t need to wear any headsets, just your hearing aid, making this product a great TV Hearing Aid Loop and amplifier.

Many people can benefit from Hearing Loops for the TV, so long as they are within the room and wearing their hearing aid with a T setting.

How does it work?

It plugs into the TV and has a wire that goes round the outside of the room. It then amplifies the TV without increasing the volume for everyone else. This is because the amplified sound is sent directly to your hearing aid while the TV remains at a normal volume for everyone else. Just remember, you need to switch your hearing aid to the T setting for this to work.

This product is the only domestic TV loop system with a remote control. The remote enables you to adjust the volume, tone, mute function and power without walking to the TV. If you use your hearing aid's T setting when using your telephone then this product has an extra benefit, you can simply mute the Echo SL loop system with the remote rather than having to switch off the loop manually, as you would have to with other models, to avoid interference.

The product comes supplied with a stand so that it can be stood upright or flat, to suit the space available around your TV. The remote won’t work with other models but you don’t need to take out your existing loop wire if you want to upgrade to this model. You can swap this amplifier with your existing one making it even easier to fit.

 Wonderful improvement.

About 3 weeks ago I installed one of these devices for my disabled neighbour. We set it up in his lounge at floor level by simply tucking it under the carpet. The improvement in the quality of sound produced was so outstanding that 2 weeks later a second unit was purchased and installed in his bed room. The installation is so simple and the advantages gained so remarkable that he is now passing the information to anyone he knows with a hearing problem! Thank you.

 Domestic harmony!

I bought this system for my husband, he had a loop system without a remote control it was almost impossible to get the TV sound so that it suited us both. Since he has used the echo SL everything is sweetness and light - I set my sound level and he sets his. He also says that he can hear the programmes more clearly and is now no longer completely dependent on subtitles ( which are of course not always perfect). If you're hesitating go ahead and buy - it's well worth the price.

Compact and working satisfactory. I have fixed loop to our picture rail which seems ok in our cottage.

OK but not as clear sounding as my original one which is non-remote control, perhaps my ears will get used to it.

Excellent instructions. A good product for the lay person to install and use. The weakest point is the tone control. It could be improved by having separate treble and bass controls. This would add little to the cost and give improved adjustment.

Most impressed. I have had a lot of problems hearing before and am very happy PLUS Action on Hearing Loss contacted me that I do not have to pay VAT which I really appreciate. They saved me £17.17.

Best loop I have ever used and the remote helps to reach the correct tone accurately. Sits uncomfortably upright.

The product was excellent. The instructions were good up to a point, but surprisingly one or two points were missed entirely. But overall very pleased.

The Echo SL is not as clear or have the same amplification as the megaloop, so bit of a disapointment. But does have the remote facility.

L406 EchoSL Loop Amplifier Unfortunately mine came with no printed instructions. So download the instructions from the product page while you wait for delivery. Very easy to install I just put the thin loop wire under the carpet all the way around the room. Plugged in the red and white connectors to the back of TV (the ones you use for surround sound) and the loop system box. Turned up the gain control to max +. Switched the background noise to H. IT WORKS (this was on an lcd toshiba HD TV) JUST A FEW NOTES also asked the audiologist at my NHS hospital to turn the T level volume to maximum (my aids are programmable so I asked for a softer T position as well incase its too loud at the cinema, theatre or church)
