Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas which is often referred to as the silent killer because it has no odour or taste and cannot be seen. The FireAngel Wi-Safe 2 carbon monoxide alarm provides complete protection from carbon monoxide poisoning in the home.It can be used by hearing people as a stand-alone alarm, or can be combined with the FireAngel strobe & vibrating pad (available separately) to create a deaf-friendly system that’s suitable for people with all levels of hearing loss. The vibrating pad goes under the pillow to wake you at night, and a bright flashing strobe light alerts you during the day. Key benefits
The FireAngel carbon monoxide (CO) alarm provides complete protection from CO poisoning in the home. It has an advanced electrochemical sensor to accurately measure levels of CO and provide an early warning of toxic CO levels. It works as a stand-alone alarm, or as part of FireAngel interlink system, sending a signal to any other connected Wi-Safe 2 alarms if it detects danger. When one alarm sounds, they all go off and up to 50 devices can be interlinked within 35 metres to provide wide coverage and protection of your home. For example, you could use a carbon monoxide alarm near a boiler, heat detector in the kitchen and smoke detectors in the living room, hallway, landing and bedrooms. Please note: It’s not designed to communicate with wireless alarms from other ranges or manufacturers. Ideally a carbon monoxide alarm should be installed in every room with a fuel-burning appliance and every bedroom. Additional alarms may be installed in rooms where people regularly spend time while awake and from where they may not be able to hear an alarm installed elsewhere. This carbon monoxide alarm is suitable for use in domestic premises as well as caravans, motorhomes and boats. Caravans and boats may have additional risks of carbon monoxide admission through air vents, due to the nearby presence of other vehicles, engines, generators or barbecues. Low battery warnings often start at night or when it may be inconvenient to replace your alarm. You can silence the audible ‘low battery’ chirp for eight hours by pressing the test button after which the audible chirp will start again. This process can be repeated up to 10 times. Your alarm will still detect CO during this time, however you must replace your alarm within 30 days, as it may have insufficient power to warn you of a CO leak after this time. It can be used as a stand-alone alarm for hearing people, or can be combined with the FireAngel strobe & vibrating pad (available separately) to create a deaf-friendly system that’s suitable for people with all levels of hearing loss. The vibrating pad goes under the pillow to wake you at night, and a bright flashing strobe light alerts you during the day. Key benefits
