Who we are
We are a specialist residential care home, without nursing, in Bath. We can provide 24-hour support to three men and women over the age of 18. The people we support are deafblind, with additional complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities. We have particular experience in supporting people whose previous placements may have broken down due to their complex needs.
We can provide a home for life while, at the same time, promoting and enabling people to be as independent as possible – according to their abilities. We use a range of communication techniques, person-centred approaches and positive risk-taking in all aspects of our care planning and review process. In this way, we can make sure that everyone is fully involved in their own support.
What we can offer - how we support you
We can give you a safe and comfortable place to live. Our lovely, purpose-built bungalow is fully wheelchair-accessible and has three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms and bathrooms have support rails and equipment such as walk-in showers, hydraulic baths and emergency pull cords. There is a spacious, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, and the hallways running between here and the bedrooms are fitted with support rails so that you can get around safely and independently. Our garden has raised vegetable beds, a patio, a summer house and a secluded lawn, and there are support rails and a sloping ramp leading from the back door.
We will support you to create your own person-centred plan and empower you to do things for yourself in all aspects of daily life, from making healthy lifestyle choices and managing your medicines, to cooking, budgeting, learning new skills and getting involved in the local community.
