Who we areWe are a specialist residential home, without nursing, in Birmingham, West Midlands. We provide 24-hour support to three men and women over the age of 18. The people who live here are deaf and/or deafblind, with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties and mental ill health.
We specialise in enabling the people who use our service to be as independent as possible – according to their abilities. We use a range of communication techniques, person-centred approaches and positive risk taking in all aspects of our care planning and review process. This makes sure everyone is fully involved in their own support.
What we can offer - how we support youWe can give you a safe and comfortable place to live. Our open-plan, fully wheelchair-accessible home has three large bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom or shower room. We also have a lounge, dining room and kitchen, where we will encourage you to prepare and cook meals for yourself. Our garden has a patio and a small lawn.
We will support you to create your own person-centred plan and empower you to do things for yourself in all aspects of daily life, from making healthy lifestyle choices and managing your medicines, to cooking, budgeting, learning new skills and getting involved in the local community.
