Who we areGibraltar Crescent is a specialist care home, without nursing, in Epsom, Surrey. We can provide a 24-hour support service to six deaf and/or deafblind men and women over the age of 18. The people we support have a range of diverse and sometimes complex needs, including learning and physical disabilities, mental ill-health, and dementia.
We aim to support people to develop the knowledge and skills they need to be as independent as possible, whilst acknowledging that some people need more support than others to achieve this. We also encourage people to improve their personal health and wellbeing, and explore social and recreational interests.
What we can offer - how we support you
We will give you a safe and comfortable place to live. Gibraltar Crescent has six bedrooms (one with en-suite facilities), two bathrooms and three separate toilets. We also have a modern, open-plan kitchen/diner, and a lounge with TV and DVD player. Our bright conservatory – a lovely place to sit and relax – leads to a large garden with a paved area, lawn and seating. There is good wheelchair access throughout the house, and we have a car so that you can get out and about and attend appointments.
We will encourage you to voice your opinions and ideas about the running of your home and to play an active part in planning menus, shopping, cooking, cleaning and tending the garden. We will also support you to create a person-centred plan. This describes what’s important to you, how you want your life to be and what help you need to make this happen.
