Who we areWe are a specialist care home, without nursing, in Westgate-on-Sea. We provide 24-hour care and support to eight deaf or hard of hearing men (with the ability to offer services to women also), aged 18 and over. The people we support have a range of needs including autism, epilepsy and learning difficulties.
At Dane End we support people to seek paid employment, gain life and social skills and empower them to make informed choices about their lives.
What we can offer - how we support you
We will provide you with a safe and comfortable place to live. Dane End is a detached two-storey house with five large and bright bedrooms. Our open-plan communal areas provide a relaxed social space that helps to promote the feeling of a family home. On entering Dane End, you will see art work that has been created by the people who live here and we are often complimented on our lovely house with the local CQC inspector saying that they wanted to “reserve a room”!
From the top of the house, you will get sea views as we are only 200 yards from the stunning Westgate coastline. We also have a good-sized communal garden at the rear of the house, that everyone who lives here helps to maintain, and which is used for barbeques and parties in the warmer months.
We will empower you to do things for yourself, supporting you with all aspects of daily life – from making healthy lifestyle choices and managing your medicines, to cooking, budgeting, learning new skills and getting involved in the local community.
