Who we areWe are a specialist care home, without nursing, in Queen’s Park, North-West London. We provide a 24-hour support service to six deaf and/or deafblind men and women over the age of 18. The people we support have a range of diverse and sometimes complex needs, including learning and physical disabilities, mental ill-health, and dementia.
Our main objective is to provide a comfortable and safe environment that actively promotes individual choice and independent living. We use a range of appropriate communication techniques, always take a person-centred approach, and encourage positive risk-taking in all aspects of our care planning and review process. By doing this, we make sure that everyone is fully involved in their own support.
What we can offer - how we support you
We will give you a safe and comfortable place to live. Brondesbury Road is a semi-detached, two-storey house with six bedrooms, each fitted with specialist equipment including alarms, emergency lights and call-buzzers. The bathroom on the second floor features a level access shower, bath, and grab rails so that you can get around safely and independently. We have a modern kitchen, spacious dining area and a living room with a TV and DVD player; and we have a beautiful garden where everyone can have a go at growing fruit and vegetables.
We will empower you to do things for yourself in all aspects of daily life, from making healthy lifestyle choices and managing your medicines, to cooking, budgeting, learning new skills and getting involved in the local community.
