      Deaf and Disability Awareness Training

Do you or your staff regularly work, or come into contact with, people who are disabled, deaf or have a hearing loss?

Our deaf and disability awareness training course raises awareness of the barriers faced by people who are disabled, deaf, or have a hearing loss, and demonstrates how to make your organisation a more deaf-friendly and accessible place.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

      • demonstrate increased disability awareness
      • identify and provide solutions to situations in your organisation where people who are disabled, deaf or have a hearing loss may face accessibility and communication barriers
      • recognise and respond to the different ways that people who are deaf or have a hearing loss communicate.

      How is this course delivered?

Our deaf and disability awareness training is a full day course lasting six hours. Each session usually takes place from 10am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch.

      Certification

All participants will receive a certificate to show they’ve attended a diversity awareness training course. They will also receive information pack.
