Quentin is an emeritus professor at the University of York. Previously, he was the Head of the Department of Psychology and a member of the University’s governing body, the Council.
He has extensive experience of scientific research into human hearing, hearing loss and deafness; cochlear implantation; and methods for assessing the clinical effectiveness and cost effectiveness of interventions designed to improve hearing. His work has informed policy makers and contributed to establishing cochlear implantation in the portfolio of treatments provided by the NHS.
Quentin was awarded an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours List for services to Psychology and People with Hearing Loss.
