Action on Hearing Loss Scotland will be welcoming visitors to the pop-up shop at The Market Place, Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire, 56 Kelburn Street, Barrhead from 10am-4pm on Wednesday 12th February.
Teri Devine, Director of Action on Hearing Loss Scotland, said: “We’re setting up our pop-up shop to give people in Barrhead– especially those who are older and more likely to have age-related hearing loss – the chance to get their hearing checked and find out about the huge benefits of getting hearing aids fitted as soon as hearing loss has been diagnosed.
“Representatives from our services will be available to highlight how we inform and support local residents who have hearing loss whether it’s cleaning or re-tubing NHS hearing aids, demonstrating assistive technology which can make everyday life easier, assisting older veterans as part of our Unforgotten Forces partnership activities or helping individuals with their social security applications.
“Visitors will also have an opportunity to find out about our charity’s membership, volunteering and fundraising activities as well as the chance to share with us their views about other services they would like to see offered to East Renfrewshire residents who have hearing loss.”
