      Meet our volunteers in Scotland

Our wonderful volunteers in Scotland make a real difference, whether giving it is giving information on the full range of support that is available to people with hearing loss, supporting people at our drop-in sessions or fundraising.

We are very grateful for the time, dedication and skills they bring – they really make a difference.

      Meet our volunteers:

Former lift engineer, Jim Woods, has been volunteering with Action on Hearing Loss Scotland as part of a unique partnership with the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank since 2011.

“I think that volunteers are amazing, but they don’t realise they are!” says Linda Rodger as she recalls her first experiences volunteering with Action on Hearing Loss Scotland.

“I think you can’t work with people enough you’ll always gain something,” says student nurse and mum one of Pam. “I always wanted to do something extra. It’s nice to do something for other people because it helps you, too. It helps you grow as a person.”
