      Dr Ralph Holme

      Director of Biomedical Research

      Before joining the charity in 2003, Dr Holme was a postdoctoral scientist investigating the genetic basis of deafness at the Medical Research Council’s Institute of Hearing Research in Nottingham. He is an expert on the biology of hearing, causes of hearing loss and tinnitus, and on the latest research into developing new treatments and cures.

      His team work globally to accelerate the development of technology and treatments by building research capacity, funding research breakthroughs and supporting the translation of promising discoveries into treatments ready to be tested in clinic.
