Our ‘Hear to Meet’ events, are taking place in:
Walker Hall, Troon KA10 6EF between 10am-12.30pm on Thursday 15 March
Howard Centre, 5 Portland Road, Kilmarnock KA1 2BT between 10am-12.30pm on Monday 19 March
will offer people the chance to become fully informed about various services provided by the charity and partner organisations.
People attending the events can get their NHS hearing aids maintained, find out about assistive equipment for their home, staying safe online and using digital technology, how they can be helped with social security claims or supported in to employment.
Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Fiona Goodwin said: “Hearing loss can be isolating so we’re holding our Hear to Meet sessions in Troon and Kilmarnock to enable people to get detailed information and ask questions about hearing loss, hearing aids, equipment, communication tips or anything else which can help them in their everyday lives.
“We’d be delighted to welcome people with hearing loss who may not be aware about all the support that is available to ensure they can continue to follow conversations with family or friends and live the life they choose.”
