Research

<alt=“”>.

Social research is a vital part of our work at Action on Hearing Loss. When we campaign, raise awareness or go to the media with stories about hearing loss and tinnitus, we need to have strong evidence to guide us and back up our calls to action.

We’re currently working on several research projects, including:

  • our annual survey of our member's views and experiences
  • research into how hearing loss is managed in mainstream care homes
  • we're undertaking a review around the management of hearing loss and other long term conditions
  • we are developing a framework that will be used to evaluate how well hearing services are being delivered
  • developing a research panel to enable us to consult with people with hearing loss on a regular basis.

Annual survey of members

Our annual survey is a valuable tool for us – it’s a great way to find out what’s important to you, our members. And it gives us an insight into the general issues affecting people with hearing loss.
