Do you need information on deafness and hearing loss?
Action on Hearing Loss has a team of Regional Information Officers and volunteers who provide information in local communities.
We work to reach people who are isolated and have little access to information on deaf awareness issues, equipment, services and benefits.
Our information officers help in a number of ways:
- by giving talks on deaf awareness, equipment, communication and Action on Hearing Loss services and campaigns
- attending exhibitions to display a range of our leaflets, factsheets and publications
- signposting to local services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
We give talks to a range of different people including local community groups, nursing home staff, health professionals and anyone wanting to find out more about deafness.
