Wiseman Milk joins forces with Action on Hearing Loss

Posted on 12/09/2011

Robert Wiseman Dairies have joined forces with Action on Hearing Loss to launch the company’s ‘Charity Month’ milk cartons.

These special edition packs are encouraging Scots to take a hearing test in the comfort of their own home - online, on the phone or even on their smartphone. Already over 850,000 people have taken the hearing check in the UK.

Action on Hearing Loss is one of four charities which will feature on over four million Wiseman cartons throughout September. It is hoped the packs will raise awareness of hearing loss, and help many more people take care of their hearing.

A group from Action on Hearing Loss Scotland paid a special visit to the Wiseman site in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire to see the first of the cartons in production.

Delia Henry, Director of Action on Hearing Loss Scotland said:

“Its not every day we get the chance to promote our work in the houses of millions of people around the UK and we are delighted to be given this opportunity.

“We hope the packs will encourage people to take the test and acknowledge any hearing loss and take the appropriate action.”

Richard Payne, manager of the Wiseman’s dairy added:

“Donating this space on our iconic black and white range of fresh milk gives Action on Hearing Loss and the rest of the charities who appear on the packs the means to help communicate their message to millions of shops and homes across Britain.”
