Posted on 20/09/2011

Malaika Rose from the Action on Hearing Loss Scotland team.On 14 and 15 September, staff and volunteers from Action on Hearing Loss Scotland hosted a stand at the NAIDEX Scotland exhibition in Glasgow. Over 200 people, both curious members of the public and health professionals visited the stand over the two-day event.

NAIDEX is a disability and rehabilitation exhibition promoting independent living. The Action on Hearing Loss stand gave demonstrations on products to help people who are deaf or have hearing loss. Products that were on show and tested by members of the public included mobile phones for hearing aid users, vibrating alarm clocks and flashing door bells.

Staff and volunteers provided members of the public with useful factsheets and leaflets on deaf awarenesstinnitus and hearing aids.
