Posted on 20/10/2011

Action on Hearing Loss community fundraisers in Scotland.Toes were tapping when Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s volunteer-run Ayrshire Taskforce team organised a fundraising ceilidh on 15th October in Kilwinning, Ayrshire.

The Ayrshire team, led by organisers Andrea and Audrey Smith raised £374.50 to help Action on Hearing Loss support the 10 million people in the UK with a form of hearing loss.

Fundraising events included stand up bingo and a raffle. The pick of the prizes was a three course meal for two, donated by the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.

The attendees also revelled in the military two-step and danced the night away to the Gay Gordon while the music was provided by the Jig Ceilidh Band from Galashiels in the Scottish Borders.

Lynne Bennett Fundraising Manager for Action on Hearing Loss Scotland added “The night went really well thanks to Andrea, Audrey and the Taskforce team. It goes to show how much ‘fun’ fundraising can be!”
