      Getting help from Jobcentre Plus

If you're looking for work, being deaf or having hearing loss shouldn't prevent you from getting the support you need from Jobcentre Plus.

How can Jobcentre Plus help me?

If you're unemployed and are looking for work, Jobcentre Plus can help you to:

      • find work
      • access local training courses and work experience schemes that can help you to find a long-term job.

You may also be entitled to Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), financial help while you look for work.

You can ask Jobcentre Plus to supply an interpreter or communication support when you use its services. If you find that it's failing to provide appropriate access, you can make a complaint.
