Who we areWe are a specialist supported housing service in Bath. We support men and women, aged 18 and over, who are deaf, deafblind or have hearing loss with additional complex needs, such as learning or physical disabilities, autistic spectrum diagnosis and mental ill-health.
Our housing-related support and domiciliary care provides the opportunity for people to live independently, with staff support as needed. We take pride in encouraging the people we support to take charge of their own personal development needs and provide an environment in which they can learn skills vital to independent living – and have fun whilst doing so!
What we can offer - how we support you
We can provide a variety of accommodation with structured support to fit around you. We have four options in the Bath area.
Our first three properties would suit you if you need a little bit more support – our staff are based in our offices nearby and will visit you at agreed hours during the day, with sleep-in staff at night.
- Property one – this house is for two people to share and you will have your own double bedroom and shared use of a large, modern kitchen/diner, lounge with TV and DVD player, bathroom and garden
- Property two – this shared house for three people has two bedrooms on the first floor and one bedroom with balcony on the second floor. There is also a large kitchen/diner, lounge, bathroom, and a garden with patio
- Property three – this house is for two people to share and has two double bedrooms, a small kitchen, large lounge and dining area, and a courtyard garden with conservatory.
Our fourth property offers even more opportunities for independence, with no sleep-in support but with staff based nearby for any day-to-day support that you might need. There is also an emergency on-call facility.
- Property four – you would have your own fully self-contained flat within a pleasant and secure complex with access to gardens.
Wherever you choose to live, we will empower you to carry out day-to-day tasks as independently as possible, with support where and when you need it. Our staff will encourage, prompt and support you in all aspects of everyday life – from making healthy lifestyle choices and managing your medicines, to going to college or getting a job. We are also registered to provide domiciliary care so, if you need support with personal care, we can help with that, too.
