Educational Day Services, Community Services Building, Poolemead House, Watery Lane, Bath BA2 1RN

Our day services are for people aged 18 and over who are deaf, deafblind or have hearing loss and other complex needs, such as a learning disability, mental health issues, autism spectrum disorder, physical disability or dementia. Our ‘total communication environment’ also means that we can also work with hearing people who have communication difficulties.

What we can offer – how we support you

We provide an open and inclusive service to help people to develop new skills and try out completely new activities they may never have considered before. Our tutors work one-to-one to help people develop a personal learning programme based on their abilities, the things they enjoy and the things they want to achieve. Sessions we can offer include:

      • art
      • card-making
      • ceramics
      • craft
      • woodwork
      • drama
      • life skills
      • music
      • occupational activities
      • personal development
      • and more...

Our services are based across various sites in Bath and we also offer activities in the local community. Our highly trained and experienced staff support people to communicate and socialise with those around them which helps to reduce feelings of stress or isolation. Our priority is to enable people to enjoy and express themselves, to be creative and feel part of their community.
