      Outer ear conditions

There are many common conditions that affect the outer ear. They can give you the sensation of having blocked ears or lead to inflamed or infected ears. They can also affect how your hearing aids work or prevent health specialists from examining your ear fully. Luckily, most outer ear conditions are easily diagnosed and treated.

Some ear wax is normal, but if too much is produced it could lead to a blockage that you may need to have removed.

Do you have inflamed or infected ears, ear pain with discharge and temporary hearing loss?

If you swim or surf you may have heard of exostosis, which is also known as surfer's ear. If you're in the water a lot, you may want to consider getting some earplugs to help protect your ears.
