Campaigns in Scotland

Why are we campaigning?

We're campaigning to help the 758,000 people in Scotland who live with deafness or hearing loss. Our campaigns are a great for you to get involved and become part of the team.

There are lots of great ways for you to get involved. Perhaps you're a music lover and like to go to gigs or concerts? Then our campaign could be right for you! Or maybe you're concerned that induction loops are not being fully utilised in your local community?

However you want to get involved, we're sure you’ll find something here. Why not get in touch or have a look through our campaign pages to see what grabs your attention?

What do we want?

We want to change attitudes and tackle the barriers that prevent those with hearing loss from taking action.

Our campaigns

Our key campaigns are:

How we do it

We raise awareness of our work in a number of ways including:

  • highlighting our work with the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government
  • working with young people to give information on listening to music safely
  • promoting hearing health amongst the Scottish public through our online hearing check
  • working with the media to promote issues that we campaign on.

Getting involved

There are lots of quick and easy ways for you to get involved with our campaigns. We need your support to help make lipreading classes more available, ensure businesses install and use loop systems and tell more people about our online hearing check.

If you want to get involved in any of our campaigns please get in touch and together we can find something that works for you.
