The awards are an opportunity to celebrate organisations in Wales (in the public, private and third sector) that make themselves accessible to people who are deaf or have hearing loss. This includes making services truly available and/or ensuring that opportunities in the workplace are open to all.
Our 2017 winners included the Welsh Ambulance Service, Cwm Taf Health Board, the Sherman Theatre and the National Assembly for Wales.
This year there are four main categories: Service Excellence, Excellence in Health, Excellence in Arts and Entertainment, and Excellent Employer. Each award will be split into two sub-categories for entries of organisations either over or under 30 employees. This is to ensure that direct competitors are of similar size.
Each entry that is shortlisted in one of the above categories will go on the final shortlist for the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Western Power Distribution. In April, the general public will be able to vote to decide the winner of this award.
Please note we cannot accept nominations of organisations that predominantly work with deaf and hard of hearing people.

The awards will be held over lunch at the St David’s Hotel, Cardiff Bay, on 4 May, 2018. Details on tickets will be released in due course.
