If you have hearing loss and live in Wales, find out how the Cross-party Group on Deaf Issues is promoting equality for people with hearing loss including equal access to government activities.

What is the Cross-party Group on Deaf Issues?

The Group, first established in October 2000, is comprised of National Assembly Members from three political parties along with members from representative groups and stakeholders with an interest in hearing loss issues. The Group’s aim is:

      • to promote equality of opportunity for people with hearing loss in Wales
      • to ensure that people with hearing loss have equal access to day-to-day processes and procedures of the national assembly for Wales and the Welsh government
      • To ensure that Welsh government-funded public bodies take fully into account the needs of people with hearing loss when providing services, information and activities.
