      Volunteering in Northern Ireland

Volunteering is a great way to get out and about, learn new skills, make new friends and help people in your community. Whether or not you have personal experience of hearing loss, volunteering with us is highly rewarding.

We offer full training and ongoing support and opportunities for you to use your skills in new ways. You could assist at an information stand or deliver a talk about hearing health to a local group. You could volunteer to help support a hearing aid user to get the most out of their hearing aid. Maybe you have an interest in raising money for charity, or you would like to educate young people about hearing loss?

"I just wanted to say the staff at Acton on Hearing Loss are fantastic! I hope to continue volunteering for as long as I can. I really enjoy my role and know exactly what is expected of me."

You don't need any previous experience as we offer full training. Opportunities are flexible so, even if you only have a couple of hours to spare, you can still get involved. We also provide travel expenses, within reason, run regular support events and recognise our volunteers through an annual awards programme.
