The Action on Hearing Loss Big Derry/ Londonderry Street Collection is taking place on Friday 1 December between 11am-9pm in Derry City Centre and the charity is calling for help from local people who want to do a good deed for Christmas.
Action on Hearing Loss provides services across Northern Ireland helping people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the lives they choose. The charity is seeking local people to give just two hours of their time to volunteer during the Christmas period. Training, hot drinks and tasty Christmas treats will be provided.
Action on Hearing Loss relies on public donations; the funds raised in these two hours could enable us to provide a one-one support session or enable us to train a new volunteer to reach more people across Northern Ireland affected by deafness, hearing loss or tinnitus.
Damien McColgan, Fundraising Executive at Action on Hearing Loss in Derry/ Londonderry said: “We’re really excited to be launching the Big Christmas Street Collection in Derry/Londonderry this year. It’s a great opportunity to get into the festive spirit and raise money to support more people across Northern Ireland with deafness, hearing loss or tinnitus. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or are taking part for the first time, I encourage you to get involved!”
