The first step in any campaign is to carry out research into the problem or issue. Research evidence helps us understand the problem better, gather the experiences of people affected by the problem, explore the causes, and allow us to consider possible solutions.
This evidence informs our policy position on what we believe to be the best approach to solving or alleviating the problem, and what actions the relevant authorities need to take.
These policy positions are then shared with policy-makers and to help us respond to current government policy in an effort to influence positive change.
