Action on Hearing Loss is the new name for RNID
On 9 June 2011, we changed our name from the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (commonly known as RNID), to Action on Hearing Loss. The rebrand coincided with the 100th anniversary of the charity's founding by Leo Bonn.
Our mission remains as clear as ever - we want a world where hearing loss doesn’t limit or label people, where tinnitus is silenced – and where people value and look after their hearing.
