Volunteering in Northern Ireland

Please install the Flash Plugin Take action on hearing loss - join our team!

It’s our centenary year and European Year of Volunteering, so why not join in? There's no better time to get involved!

Volunteering is a great opportunity to give a little of your time to help people. Whether or not you have personal experience of hearing loss, volunteering with us is highly rewarding.

There are a so many ways to get involved, so however much time you have, you can make a difference.

Why not assist at an information stand or deliver a talk about hearing health to a local group? Perhaps you would prefer to be more hands on? You could volunteer to help support a hearing aid user to get the most out of their hearing aid.

However you decide you would like to help, we'd love to hear from you! We’ve got plenty of opportunities throughout Northern Ireland.

You don't need any previous experience as we offer full training, with accredited training beginning Autumn 2011. Opportunities are flexible so even if you only have a couple of hours to spare you can still get involved. We also provide travel expenses within reason, support events and a volunteer awards programme.

"I get a real buzz out of seeing the happiness of helping people". Jimmy (Hearing Aid Volunteer)

"Our vision for the programme is to make sure people get the right information to take action on their hearing throughout Northern Ireland. I'd love to see a drop in session in every town". Brendan (Volunteer Co-Ordinator)
